The Baby Boom!
It has been quite a baby boom lately!So many friends at the office (and not in office) are expecting! I am so happy and excited for them, it is a thrill to expect your first borns or second-third babies! Babies are always wonderful! (tone: missing Luqqie Bee's infant days already where he is swaddled in the napkin and cry out really loud during a nappy change or bath sessions!!)
I really hope they are all in the pink of health, and most importantly for a happy baby you preggie bees must stay HAPPY!
so ask your husbands to shower you with happiness :p!!!!!!

Feeding my Luqqie Bee
One of the most fun things to do with a 6-9 month old baby is to prepare his solids! I have to admit i have been rather limited on Luq’s menu, simply because he had eczema in his earlier months. So i don’t feed him any citrus fruits, no corns yet and no fish until he is about 1 year old. Luq now is simply my vegetarian baby!
I started with pureed pumpkin, sweet potato, pears and apples. He loves them all, but he refused avocado. For breakfast, he has his portion of baby organic oats and fresh banana. I have now introduced the Cerelac baby oats and prunes to him because the organic oats are not easily available. I still add some banana to the cerelac. He sometimes nibble on papayas or mangoes for dessert. Yummy kan?
I also have to admit that we have only recently started on rice. This maybe weird as rice is our staple food. But my dad was telling me that too much rice can actually make the baby really fat. And just rice does not offer the baby all the nutrition he needs. So what i do now is i add a portion of rice to his vege purees, just for that kenyang feeling. But i don’t need to have rice at all meals and my baby is fine.
My mum has started introducing anchovies. Soon we will try blended beef or chicken. I think my baby’s fav is pumpkin+sweet potato+ broccoli. I play around with some green vege at every meal, insisting that my son must like his greens! Other greens that i plan to offer are green peas and asparagus. Other colourful vegetables suitable for babies are red cabbage and carrot!

Raya updates
The internet at the office has been terrible! Because of that i was unable to log on and update, and my invisible readers could not find out about the most interesting hari raya that Luq Bee and i had.
Well not much to update, we have only visited 4 houses! Thanks to Abah Bee who chose to sleep and continue to hibernate on every bed available. No qualms whatsoever, we indeed love the break from everything!
Langkawi was great as always, altho it was pretty hard for Mommy Bee to restrain herself from glorious fatty foods. Nevertheless she found pinggan-mangkuk shopping heaven again on the island.
Luqqie Bee has however been really attached to me. Maybe because we spent a whole week together, he just wanted me and no one else. It was easier leaving the maid to tend to house-chores and clean up and i fed him, cleaned him and slept with him. In a way i wish he was more responsive towwards others because there were times that i had to hide behind the door so that he could not see me, as he will definitely scream and insist that i pick him up. But in many other ways it is his signal that he wants me to spend more time with him, he needs my hug and tender loving care (plus my shrieky voice!. I know that when he is just 8 months, and at 18 he might not even 'need' me anymore. And with that i really dont mind Luqqie Bee 'clinging' on me.

Back at ttdi
I am happy to be back at TTDI whilst Abah is in Mecca. No more leaving at 645am to drive the baby to my mom's. Plus there are more carers and takers for Luq, so i have some time to relax.
I really enjoy pushing the baby on the stroller every evening,breathing the fresh air, observing kids playing at the park and reminiscing the colorful childhood i had there, small chats with the neighbours... just letting him see the world before buka time. I am very fortunate that the dinner is being taken care off whilst i am back here. So the minute i get into the house the time is all mine to spend with my Luqqie Bee.
I think that while our children is still young (and small), our time is the best gift we can give them. I am lucky to be able to leave the office on time and make plans to maybe take a walk in the park with the baby, or just relax on the comfy bed or prepare a nice warm shower for him. Just this moment i dont envy at all other people who are at wits end trying to be pushy in their career. Because no 'hours' are more meaningful to me than the hours i spend with my baby. Even if i need to go out for coffee, i take him along. If he sleeps in the car, it does not matter, he still sleeps in my arms :)

New shoes for on the go mom
I used to wear heels/wedges/stilettos a lot. Everywhere. But carrying a 8kg baby on heels is not easy, not even safe. Hence i decided to combine the comfort + safe + heels+ style factor and found the Rockport for women. The first store in Malaysia opens at the Curve and have i found my new shoe heaven!!
It's so soft, stylish and comfy, most importantly i can be in wedge heels and carry my baby! I bought one that is not too formal and not too casual. So i could use it for work and casual wear and carry my baby anytime.every mom should try the Rockport!
Mid to end Ramadhan
Abah left for his most awaited Umrah trip last week and is due to be back by this Thursday, right on raya eve. Alhamdulillah Allah took care of my husband whilst he was there and im praying for a safe trip home. We miss him so much and especially Luq, he has been recognizing everything as Abah these days. Flower? - Abah! Tyre? - Abah! . fan?- Abah! Steering wheel? -Abah!
We plan to raya in Kl for the first day and drive down to Langkawi on the next day. My are we in for a longgg drive back. My parents will be joining us there for three days, but most of the time they will have their vacation while i tend to my raya on the island. It will be great to take some time off from work, even if it means being cooked up in the house, not much to complain as being at the in laws have always been that way altho i will be at a tropical island. Well at least i get 24-7 with my baby, that's what i cherish the most out of my breaks.
I will take this opportunity to be a fulltime mom to my son, putting him to sleep, bathing him, making his meals, playtime etc and most importantly, taking him out to see the world. Life is extremely different with a baby, and i really cant wait to raya with this newbie in the family.
We plan to raya in Kl for the first day and drive down to Langkawi on the next day. My are we in for a longgg drive back.
