It's week 34 today and there's still so much to do before the arrival of our bundle of joy-
1) Decide and do up the kitchen! (enuff said this has been pro-longeeed for the longest time).
2) Get maid , train maid. Maid is supposed to arrive this week; and we must decide on some routine duties for her.
3) Finish up on baby shopping. I still have some few items on my list. So many visits to mothercare but i still have not completed my list.
4) Prepare after birth nest at TTDI. This is not easy.....!
5) Work work work..argh! this department is never ending up till almost year end. At times i am super occupied with work; time to prepare for baby just flies!
6) Apply for after Xmas year end leave. And ensure it is approved!
My check up at the hospital is tomorrow, i had to take leave as the nurse said it might take long. Nervous plak thinking as to what they want to cek on me. Havent they completed all the tasks already? Anyway. i am still up and about; i dont think the baby has engaged yet...saw this shop at Pavillion, Du paraleil au meme..and for baby clothes that is the best shop to date! Colourful i like!

Baby Book

I just started on a baby scrapbook. I did a wedding scrapbook, where i included cards, notes and memos from family and friends, and it is one of my most cherished items ever. I love flipping it from page to page, laughing and smiling at funny and beautiful notes from our guests on our wedding day.
I plan to do the same for our first born. For now ive included a card from the Aussies, and sonogram pics of the baby from week 9 up to week 30. They look so beautiful already! I will have to include pics of my pregnant self though i dont have that many....and later on when the baby comes it's all about the baby pics!

What everyone must try
The new chocolate lounge at Curve....

They serve the best belgian chocolate frappes that are to die for! memang sedap giler! Especially for chocolate lovers. Nice cosy place for a twosome threesome or a crowd. I had the belgian chocolate frappe and i was licking it till the last drop. And the price? A frappe here is cheaper than a Starbucks frappe. Love love this new place!

Keeping calm and carrying on
The baby moves more nowadays. He also freezes the tummy a lot; i dunno how he does that; especially when i am stress over work, he will freeze my tummy. Which will also lead to a great pain at my back! Ouch!
Last weekend i realised i am suffering from a mild SPD (google at Babycentre). Oh my, had to stay at home almost the entire weekend, walk slowly and less stairs.
I read that it's normal to get SPD, but what worries me is that birth might be more painful and SPD might reoccur in my next pregnancies. Ouch again!
On a better note, F is almost done with the babyroom! Yahhoo i am soo happy :) The maid's room is still in progress, but it looks better now. The babyroom is a mixture of white and light wood color. Only that the venetian blinds are pink, heheh! (cant help that!).
Work at the moment has been more than usual, there is more stress in the division altho everyone is trying their best to please the heads. Clearly it is not easy to juggle between pure legal work and admin work. I try to do as much as i can; which means my 8-5 are very hectic and there is no rest until i get home. It also makes pregnancy seem to past very very fast. alhamdulillah other than some minor stuff; i am still in the pink of health.
I have not registered for any birth classes; i try to do my own reading. Simply because i dont have much time and my weekends are extremely precious; and F's usually as busy as a bee on weekends. At this juncture; i try to do more readings on birth and the signs of birth and how to handle it. I really dunno how scary it will be but i guess everyone must have a first experience on these things!
I received a small baby gift from a good friend yesterday; i dunno why but somehow it really made my day, altho it was a small gift but it left me smiling at the thot that the baby is really on the way..feeling all mother-ish all of a sudden. Cant wait for the real thing!

Maternity gadgets
I was never a fan of mat clothes, i used to think they look weird and unattractive. So when the time came and i needed to wholly change my normal wardrobe to mother-ish clothes, i figured it wasnt that difficult! As many stores nowadays have fashionlines that suit normal people and mother-ish looks.
I tried jubahs for work, or maxi like attire, didnt really work well for me cos i find it a bit messy. I prefer long black pants and tops for work. I try to mix and match and find something exclusive but casual too. The trendiest store for mother-ish clothes are Dorothy P and Forever 21. Yesss we loveee Forever 21's tops! For budget days, i'd shop at Nichii, cos they are trendy and you can get 3-4 clothes at once cos they are always on discount. You can also try Scarlet ad JJ's Dept store but the quality is not that great; but i love their mat pants.
My husband recommended me 9 Months at the Curve, at first i thot it was more on the pricey side but when i made some purchases there i was really really happy cos they have very trendy clothes, comfy and long lasting material. And they dont look too motherish hahha.
For mat bras and belts (which i need soon!) i usually opt for FabulosMom at ttdi. I like Mothercare too, but their attire is too casual like, more for SAHM who doesnt need to match their tops with suits.
Happy shopping mothers!

Life oh life
It was a hectic hectic week for me because i was on duty for the Judge's case profiles. Sigh! 5 days of mind boggling cases and then cum Friday yahoo.....
I still like working altho im heavily pregnant that means i get tired easily, hungry easily and more visits to the loo! But our division has new dimensions now, so it's really up to the young, energetic team to make things happen. It's also hard to take leave as there are not many people i can depend on especially with rapidly changing environment at the division.
As for the baby, he is kicking well and next week is our next check up. Cant wait too see Bunny Boy again and see how much he weighs this time. This weekend we tried to have some things in order in the lil apartment for Bunny Boy's arrival, altho i have to do it very slowly as i feel a bit disjointed here and there. There are so much to do, maid room and baby room still in progress, stuff for TTDI, bags for the hospital...books and materials to read. Arranging Bunny Boy's clothes, nappies, toiletries, changing bags etc is sooo much fun :)
Even at 3rd trimester, i still enjoy reading about pregnancy, childbirth and baby-caring. My husband has been great too, altho i know all his readings are virtual materials, unlike me who is more traditional when it comes to educating thyself.
My husband and i also managed to spend quality time before the baby arrive,- trips to the mall, eating out, fancy ice creams, a movie or two. Life is going to change completely soon in a couple of weeks!

Love Happens
Bunny boy at 30 weeks
1. We turn the BIG 30 weeks today. Looks like time really flies fast. I have started moving some stuff to TTDI, the place where i will spend my early days of motherhood; or pantang-hood. Altho i dont intend to pantang that much.
2. Talking about pantang; i am really clueless as to what one shoud or shouldnt do at pantang period. My cousin told me i could only do it with discipline 2 weeks max. (Oh my!) I asked my mum about urut and such and she says its not exactly necessary; especially for me who memang tak tahan vigorous urut. Plus i heard it cost a lot too; to impose pain on yourself that is. Someone told me about mustika ratu herbs coming in pills now. Now that's an idea. Altho i would think the bengkung is a great way to slim down fast.
3. The baby has little punches now and then, so cute. I think that i walk too much that pain has started under the big tummy and on my feet. Altho i would proudly say my feet is still a size 4-5; and i can still wear my wedding rings perfectly well. Oh jewellery shopping and snooping here we go again.
4. With the many work preps and baby preps, we silly lambs have yet to decide on a hospital to give birth. It is rather embrassing when people ask of our plans and i just mutter ; oh this place and that. We have surveyed one hospital but i didnt like it that much, spells scary. So this weekend when hubby has the time we have to go hospital surveying again and bring my red book and just register.
5. Due date is getting near. 1st week of Jan 2010. But i have this feeling that we might just make it in December. I feel sometimes that Bunny Boy is impatient (like me?) but at the same time brave and calm (like his father?). The good reason if he comes early is that i could take early maternity leave, and not worry about case profiles temporarily yippee.
6. My sis called from Aussie and asked me to pack a hospital bag already. Already? I havent even decided what to wear. I realised i have very little 'motherhood clothes'. Most are maternity wear fancy for work. And i realised i have to wash the baby clothes before i pack them in the bag; or place them at my mother's. Oh my too much work for a stressed mind at this time.
7. We have (so i heard) gotten approval for our maid but awaiting documents to be reverted to us. Oh my! Why is everything taking so longgg....i cant wait to retire from housework.

Swimming in my thots
Just these things swimming in my thots now:
1. Stress stress and stress.
2. Tired exhausted tired
3. The PPK exams and activities went on well, alhamdulillah; also had fun studying & meeting & eating with some old friends. However, the hecticness of last week took a lot from me; i was the most exhausted one. I almost broke my back!
4. I realised the legal profession is a colorful profession with many many talented and bright and wonderful people. I have today; many talented and 'useful' friends, that i would to dig their brains sometime.
5. At times of ultra-stress, a good cup of cofee and laughter: really is the best medicine.
6. Sometimes due to being very busy, i forget that i am pregnant. ??? which leads me to excessive backache!
