Bathtime fun for Mom & Bunny Boy

Mum always loves a SPA. Of course who doesnt? And what better way to intro the world of exclusive spa (heheh) to baby other than yummy, soothing toiletries?
I especially LOVE the fragrant of J & J. Yup! From the powder to baby oil to lotions and shower gels etc...they are perfect for mom and baby! Of course there are other brands available but J&J just spells: NICE smelling babies!
So, an important preparation for our little bundle of joy is of course toiletries set for mom & baby. Marks & Spencer and such for mom ? Hmmm yummy!

Baby Baby 7 mths update!

We did our 7th month scan yesterday and Bunny Boy is now 1.2kgs! Wow! Alhamdulillah he is normal, and when i heard his heartbeat it was pounding at a normal rate:) The doctor says i am normal normal normal; no excessive weight gain, normal pregnancy woes .happy to hear that!
So happy to see Bunny Boy swimming along, and making some weird mouth movements; as if talking to himself just like his father! HEehe. (YES hmm they are a like even in UTERO? Oh no!) F thinks Bunny Boy looks like him, especially the nose part...hmmm.....

A few days ago i managed to stock up on baby items, there are a few items here and there that i have yet to purchase, but i am still in the midst of preparing; and with no maid yet and exams coming; i will put preparation on hold for a bit. As the mother to be, i also purchased some nice and cute maternity wear to suit all occassions. yes! It is fun to splurge on myself once in a while as it is always not about the baby rite?
I especially love matching tops for mom & baby; altho they are not that easily available here; except i see nice ones online!

It's goin to be a busy busy week again! Have a good weekend.

Legal Emotions

When you are handling a legal case (either presenting one or deciding one); it is critically important not to be emotional when handling it. I find handling parties' emotions and my emotions manageble when parties are represented by legal counsels ie. well educated lawyers who know their stuff.
However; some people (Malaysians and Non-Malaysians especially!) feel that they know the law better than their counsels; and the presiding Judge. Hence they think it is a waste of time and money appointing a legal counsel. So they trot to court and have this idea that they are very smart and can win their case hands down- by deliberating facts and only facts (emotional facts usually of how pathetic their life is and how stupid and irrational some people are yada yada yada). And with all that they drop this poisonous most irritating dose of their- human emotions. Which is so not necessary in a civil case.
As for me, i try to shut one eye at this kind of character; most of the time i think they waste my time and their time, and is not even legally productive as out of 100 pages of submissions maybe only 1-2 points can be legally considered.

So moral of the story is; if you are not legally trained; please dont try and pretend to be one; or act as if you know. Spend some money & time and get proper legal representation; save your emotions.

Some fast paced life updates

This month will pass really fast as i am the ultra super busy woman on the block! With work, social events and PTK exams coming i just cannot keep up! I will be taking a few days off from work just to prepare for PTK; as it is so not possible to prepare when i am in the office. Then i'd have to spend a WEEK in Bangi; oh how tiring that will be especially with this fragile back. I constantly need a tukang urut and some supplies of salonplas after a hard day at one utama:p
But on top of all this, pregnancy is normal and ok and we are looking forward to our 7th month check up this Friday. So fast!

Another thing that we are waiting for is our stay in MAID! Aiyo bile la nak sampai; cant wait to list down her jobscope (hehe) and for her to get used to work around my lil apartment and my mother's house. Will also wait for her to arrive before i really start on the baby room, there's just too much boxes and books to move around. InsyaAllah when she arrive will take some burden off my shoulders :p

We have bought the baby cot, baby clothes cabinet, baby changing table, baby sleeper (my fav!), nursing pillow, some baby attire, baby bag, baby tub, infant carseat, super special changing mat, etc all these spells baby baby baby..all the things we do for our newborns right? Soon will come my very favourite part- mother and baby toiletries :) I am such a fan of soaps creams etc i might even just use them before baby arrive :p

Time is so not on our side, will write some more.

Such beezy days

In several very short months my life will change completely. For the better i know. There's so much goin on today; courses tomorrow, friends to visit, stuff work/not work to read, exams to prepare, and the baby coming. Getting a bit worried about the last bit as i am getting bigger by the day; and although i try to be as self sufficient as can be (hmm?) it is not that easy to move around with a rather rounded big tummy!
There's also motherhood to look forward to; and sometimes i do wonder what kind of mum i will be; the overbearing protective type..or the playcool everything do it yourself type? Hmmm! cant wait to evaluate myself hehe. I just know that a lot of things will change, some broken sleeps (so not used to this ok..) and very limited me time.

Pregnancy so far has been ok. I feel the HEAT (yes i do!) and the sighs of relief when i get to the top of a staircase. I read that there is also this phase when you start to clean clean and organise your life/stuff- yes im kinda drawing towards that. It's so meletihkan but unstoppable.

Rite now, F has moved to Putrajaya and been busy as a bee. We are trying to plan a weekend get away before the baby arrives and our calendar's all full till maybe mid November. Sigh!

Nevertheless; i am so looking forward to becoming a parent; and taking care of my baby! IBeen reading loads on parenting; it's gona be FUN i know, and lots of work (ooooo) but i am also looking forward to doing things my way!! :p

Bar Table at Home

Been thinking of throwing out the useless dining table we have now and replacing it with a bar table instead. It's enough for just the 2 of us; and when the Bunny Bee comes he has more space to move around. When the PILs come they usually like to eat on the floor ramai-ramai so a bar table will give us more space around the apartment. Hmmmmmmmm......

Feels like CAKE!

This is terrible, but i feel like having cake and ice cream every other day! Habislah macam ni:p
I am in my 6th month and my appetite has been absolutely fabulos. We had another scan last week and little baby bun is 810gms. Cute! I am happy to hear from my doctor that he is growing normal and fine. That's all i need to hear!
Anyway; have been very careful with not overeating this Raya season; especially when there's so much good food around. My diabetic test came back negative, alhamdulillah, but i am still a bit cautious on my rice, sugar and juice intake. SO gotta controll,...yet so difficult! I try to just have one plate of rice per day, and not too much at the same time.
Anyway, it has been great meeting up with so many close and faraway friends this Hari Raya. Altho work has been rather demanding but i try to fill my weeekends attending to raya invites; and soon we need to start on project baby room again!

The weekend maid episodes

The weekend maid took some weeks off for Raya and was scheduled to be back on 2.10.2009. I kept calling her mobile to check whether she was really back and ready for work. Mana la tau terstranded kat Indon, or busy with other things in her life.
I called her many times before the weekend, but her mobile was off. I thot ini kes tak balik lagi la, takpela ill let her have the weekend off.
This morning at 9am my mother called, and said: Makcik tunngu kat Tesco tapi takde orang ambik die. So instead she came to TTDI.
Me: WHAT? i called her many times, not my fault ok..her phone was off.
Mother: Yes her phone rosak.

Then mother put makcik on the phone.

me: Selamat hari raya! Orang call banyak kali tak dapat pun. mana nak tau makcik tunngu kat tesco.ingat tak keje lagi.
Makcik: Eh makcik ada jam 8 lagi. Makcik ni bukan jenis nak cuti-cuti lama tau; bukan nak duduk rumah saja nak buat apa..
Me: (hahha amboiiiii!!!!!) ok la datang esok hari ahad boleh tak? banyak baju nak gosok. mengemas tak sangat. Hari ni ada hal sikit la. (nak g open hse)
Makcik: ok la. esok jam 8 kat Tesco.

Haihhh macam2 makcik ni...kelakar betul

Motherhood 101

There is sooo much to look forward to when you're having a baby. There are things that i plan to prepare; practical stuff to learn; people i want to see and things i want to do before and after the baby comes.
There's also : Motherhood.
So much to write or talk about that. But basically i think motherhood starts from day 1 that you carry your baby. Being pregnant means you constantly think about this new being inside of you; and that feeling will stay forever. I become more conscious about what i eat or drink; whether it's healthy or not. What i do; the shows that i watch; as i know it's all part of the habit of raising a healthy and happy child.

I love reading philosophical books on babies and their life in utero; as well as motherhood. The practical ones are all over the store; but the ones i like best are like people telling stories of their mother-life and analysis of them.

Now that i have more energy; goin out and beraya is great fun. I have to confess i dont do baby shopping anymore; lose interest sekejap. Maybe will start buying attire next month. but i enjoy nite outs and company with my husband or a close girlfriend.

Been thinking of revamping this blog. It has gotten rather dull. And unlike some peole, i am so not a photo person..i take photos an dkeep them in my camera which in return really defeats the purpose of picture taking. I will try to post interesting articles on this blog for a change.
