Finally i am in dire need of some full fledged maternity clothes. Aiyaa soo not in the mood to go shopping for clothes. Buying maternity ware is not that easy as i tend to avoid from looking like an auntie, haha! Aiyo those maternity prints and colours cpuld kill my corporate image :p Hope Jusco has some trendy ones as i dont intend to splurge on clothes that will go out of fashion next year. Nah dont intend to recycle pun.
On a hot afternoon yesterday, where everyone needed a glass of cool lime juice, we received a call delivering some happy happy news. Yay Alhamdulillah. Cant wait to brag about it; later...

On my career
This blog is so deceiving kan. It seems that since i got pregnant whatever's in my head is preggie baby preggie baby. Hahah. Please understand that is not true!
Actually im pretty happy with work right now. There's more of us; so i hear less cases and can concentrate on other 'important' work. And we have a rather fun and happening group. Everybody learns form each other and everybody gossips about each other hehhe.
Sometimes when i read my books and the documents that i handle, i wonder- gosh this is so legal without me even noticing it. I think at this stage i have finally settled with this legal field that it all does not seem rocket science anymore. Several years ago in lawschool everything looked difficult; tough; troublesome; heartwrenching!
Even after all these years; i'll never say that law is an easy department. It is tough and there's a lot of effort involved, all the way.
Macam tak boleh rest je, and everywhere you go any uncle auntie or grandfather will ask you a legal opinion (or thots) on some legal issue. Sentiasa bagi free advise even after work.
What i like about now is that when i recall 2 years ago, i was this corporate lawyer wannabe who works till late, skip dinner and hung out with smokey people. At that time family life was far from real.
But now, it feels like a lot of things are coming into place, as i join the new place to do a different type of legal work, but enjoy working and have better hours- family life is my future.
I'm so thankful, even if the pay is not 5 figures but at least i know i have a better life compared to many others (including in my past life haha). It's really not about the dough. Had that and it didnt really make a difference, this life is really not just about the dough!

They say it's the world's smallest buggy

Amongst the step new parents have to take is to invest in a good travel system. Unless you're the kind that don't really care about child safety; or don't mind running after your kid every 5 minutes or carrying him; then that's a different story.
Since, i will be doing this on my own (with hubby of course); i've tried researching on some interesting travel systems and hopefully soon will purchase one so i can start researching on something else! haha
Top priority for me in looking for a travel system is comfort and weight. Since we will be travelling by flight most of the time we cant afford to get strollers that babies can sleep in for 6 straight hours. Nak tido balik rumah la haha :p
We need something light; ez to handle and that comes in a compact bag!
Hmm...??

27.7.2009
As i am writing this i am suffering from a mild sore throat. Arghh tensenyer. Must be the rambutans that i overate yesterday. We were enjoying Sivil's family day at Pengkalan Balak, Malacca. Although the place of stay was far from great but i had a fun time lepaking by the beach with my husband and colleagues. Must do this more often! Paling best beli bantal kekabu; yahoo....sleep sleep sleep.
What's really on my mind now, is about the lil Bambino that i let go yesterday. (Boo- hoo still sedih; miss him already!) Oh what to do; a lot of things in life MUST change. Oh where are you Maximus?
So with the baby coming we need a plan as who will be the caretaker of this lil bumblebee whilst we are away at work. At first; i thot of getting a full time maid. But then that may not be possible now as both ttdi people and MD people put privacy as top priority. Sigh boleh ke i handle all this without a helper? i might go a bit cuckoo, but now i must think of Plan B. But then i'm thinking hey if other people can do it, why not me? Hmmm...what a challenge. Taking care of my own baby and doing everything with my husband. The 1st year they say is really tough, i guess that's the challenge of parenting.
Sometimes i feel im a bit too much , really. The babe is not even here yet and i'm already complaining of all the work and yada yada yada. Hmm tgk ada setengah orang tu nak beli barang baby pun takde duit. Sedih plak. Nevermind la if i cant have free time like other people, the 1st year espcially ill be full time with my child, but hopefully my husband and i will learn fast. Thank God my mother is near.
Actually to think about it; im not that worried anymore because i have a GREATT husband who will be a great father; and both of us, like other couples, will try hard to become great parents!

July going towards August
My dear lil Bumblebee,
You are 14-15 weeks today, that's 3.5 months. Babycentre say that you are starting to grow hair. How cute is that? I wonder whether you will have my soft wavy thin hair or your father's black locks. You choose :)
When you arrive you will know that i am a person highly dependant on your father, and granny of course hehe. So i hope you will follow your father's traits of becoming a highly independant and confident person. Hmm it's a wonder he married me.
You will also see i will not be as domesticated as other mothers, there are things that i leave totally to your grandma and the weekly maid of course. That you will soon learn will not be a problem as i will have more time focusing on raising and educating you (chewah heh).
When you are bigger, we hope to take you travelling.
We'd need a camera soon so we can capture the look of you inside of me, and capture you when you arrive soon. It's already July, in 2 weeks it will be august. I cant believe how fast time flies and soon we will be rushing to register at a hospital for me to deliver you.
It's funny how life does move in a circle. I could still vividly remember the Ladybird books i love to read when i was a toddler, and the My Little Ponies i played with, and the Disney songs i sang to. I really had a colourful and wonderful childhood. And now even when the memories are still intact, i can share them with you! There are of course new stuff on the market (yeah!) but some things just remain classics. So one of my projects for you is to introduce to you the classics: nursery rhymes, stories, fables etc.
Cant wiat to be with you, take care and eat well you lil Bumblebee!

Three Goin On Thirty
Today is Sarah's 3rd birthday. Can you believe it she is three? I sent my sis a message, happy birthday and remember you are three and NOT thirty, hehe.
Missing this lil twit so much! We sent her present last week and i hope it reaches her in Toowomba in time for her birthday. I'm happy that my niece has grown up to be one great chatterbox (who does talk sense! haha) and a fashionista to-be looking at her pinkish top to toe everyday outfits.
Everytime we get online she will do funny stuff like showing off her furry boots, singing songs, jumping on and off the table, showing off her pink panties on the screen etc hahah wild babe. Miss you lil sing bird!
Poof- Dusty Blog!
Yes it is dusty here!! I havent blogged for ages!
Firstly, let me tell you about work. Apa yang best, my colleague passed me her oh so cushy sofa as she was shifting to a smaller room. Feels so great (!!!) to sleep and snooze on the sofa during breaks and times when i just need a 10min shut eye. Due to the outbreak the air purifier in my room has been more active than ever, so my room is now the coziest room on the floor! :p
What i have to focus now other than my daily work, is to get my papers in order to be able to sit for exams in October, insyaAllah!
I havent been back to Langkawi for almost 4 months now; so the in laws decided that they will visit instead. Yay, there'll be home-cooked food at my apartment now :)for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner u bet! and i insist that my MIL bring along some kuih karas especially for me. Cant wait to bite on em :p
As for this growing baby, my bump is getting bigger! Cant wait for 4th month check up next week. I now am trashing out some tight clothes and F insist we buy some maternity tops last weekend as he said i looked terribly fuuny in the baby tees. I decide not to spend so much on mat tops, maybe an office shirt or two. We have started looking around for baby stuff, especially now that the mega sale is on. I have some great ideas already for the baby room, we are planning to shift some furniture here and there and making the room cosy for this lil one.

Second trimester
We enter the 2nd trimester this week. Alhamdulillah, i feel better! Yippeee...
I'm still on the routine small meals and still try hard to avoid rice. I dont know why; they just dont appeal to me just yet. Hopefully soon! Nanti susah plak baby tak makan nasik :p
Lat Tuesday we saw our lil baby again on the scan machine. Baby look so cute and happy and active just jumping about in my tummy. There was once the baby even stared at us for a few minutes, heheh waht a wonderful experience :)
Work also has been great actually. Not too stressful , and not boring at all at the moment. I sometimes feel lazy and groggy in the mornings to get up for work; but after finishing my cases and organising tasks for the day; i realise that work makes me stronger and happier. I meet people; i have wonderful colleagues, i multitask and i am my own person when i do my legal work. I dont think i will opt for the SAHM soon (hehe hopefully) because i see a lot coming my way if i just keep my spirits high and work hard.
The Reader's Digest this month covers a very interesting topic on raising kids. There were notes from famous people including the Obamas. I feel truly inspired and i think it is never too early to start reading up on parenting. I think that the qualities a child will have must be instilled in him from day 1.
I really cant wait to start raising my children. Looking at the pictures in the magazine and reading about them gets me all excited in this new colourful journey that i will soon take.

19.6.2009
Snowy's passing has hit me very hard, though i try not to show it much. I did silly things after that like, drank cola, and bought a new car!
Anyway, Alhamdulillah we are nearing the end of the 1st trimester as we enter our 12th week this weekend. My lil sunshine must be one rock star trying to put up with my mood swings and appetite confusions.
It's a joy to start thinking about stuff that we need for the baby. First and foremost i must turn the ironing/guest room at home into a complete baby room. How big a cabinet do we need? Does it need an aircon? Must i make the curtains now? Decisions decisions. Since we wil yet to know the gender of the baby till a few months, ive decided to keep my ideas based on neutral colors. Cant help leaning on some rosy posey stuff but i also find myself confused on whether i prefer a colorful kiddy room, or light pastel baby colors.
The room will spell BABY in total, no sharing with guests or whatsoever. It will be exclusively for the baby hence i am entitled to the freedom to decorate as much as i want.
I also worry because i am not much of a surveyor, if i like something i will just get it and not think about it anymore, like what i did to my wedding! AHAh
Hmm my lil sunshine, do you prefer bright cheerful colors or pastel sweetness?? Some beatrix potter?

You will remain forever, permanent in my heart.
Died peacefully on 17Th June 2009, Snowy was the apple of our eyes for 16 years.
We love you with all our hearts, forever and ever, my irreplaceable fury white aristro-cat.
